The EnergyIP Distributed Energy Management System (DEMS) solution provides a holistic approach for Demand Response, Virtual Power Plants, and distributed energy resource (DER) management for not only managing the resources, but also providing operational and asset lifecycle processes for utility personnel responsible for DER management. This product addresses the need to manage DERs controlled directly by a utility or by consumers or third-parties such as aggregators. This highly scalable enterprise software uses “closed loop” communication to control 100,000s of devices in order to enable DER management on the supply and demand-side equally and on one platform. The DEMS product brings together the features of event-based resource management from DRMS and combines it with the forecast, scheduling, and online control components of VPP to create a best-of-breed platform to manage DERs for a wide variety of use cases. The Siemens OpenADR Adapter provides a certified VTN to enable VEN interaction with the DEMS solution.
